COVID-19 Response
As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation in Manitowoc County, our number one priority remains the health, safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers and community we serve.
Free United Way Products and Services
United Way Manitowoc County has a variety of free community resources to help our community meet their basic needs during this uncertain time.

Our 211 helpline remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to connect our citizens to the vital health and human services necessary to meet their basic needs. As a reminder, you can dial 211 for assistance with rent, food, utilities, housing services and much more.
-
You can also text COVID19 to 211-211 to receive information and updates regarding COVID-19.

-
Our FamilyWize Prescription Discount Cards can instantly lower the cost of your prescription medications – by an average of 45%. Cards can be printed here or downloaded to your phone by searching Rx Discount Card by FamilyWize in the app store.
-
Additionally, because pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens are now offering free delivery of prescription medications, when you call in to get a prescription filled or refilled, you can ask that the FamilyWize discount be applied by providing the following information that is found on a FamilyWize card:

COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund
In March, United Way Manitowoc County launched our COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund to support local nonprofits and other organizations. Launched in partnership with Manitowoc County’s COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster), our goal was to provide both immediate basic needs relief and long term recovery in Manitowoc County.
As of September 22, our COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund has received contributions totaling $92,777 from generous individual donors, our corporate partners - Americollect, Associated Bank, Festival Foods, Meijer, Sargento, UnitedOne Credit Union, and the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation - and United Way Manitowoc County's endowment. We thank you all for your generosity and support!
Donations to our COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund have been awarded in two grant phases. Funds were also used to create over 850 reusable face coverings for Manitowoc County nonprofits. We will continue to monitor the needs of our community and with the COAD, determine how and where to allocate remaining dollars in our COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund.
While we are no longer fundraising to support our COVID-19 Basic Needs Relief Fund, if you are interested in supporting United Way Manitowoc County's efforts to meet the basic needs of our community members, click here to learn more about how you can financially support our mission.
