Free United Way Products and Services

United Way Manitowoc County has a variety of free community resources to help our community meet their basic needs during this uncertain time.

  • 211

    • Our 211 helpline remains open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to connect our citizens to the vital health and human services necessary to meet their basic needs. As a reminder, you can dial 211 for assistance with rent, food, utilities, housing services and much more.

    • You can also text COVID19 to 211-211 to receive information and updates regarding COVID-19.

  • FamilyWize

    • Our FamilyWize  Prescription Discount Cards can instantly lower the cost of your prescription medications – by an average of 45%. Cards can be printed here or downloaded to your phone by searching Rx Discount Card by FamilyWize in the app store.

    • Additionally, because pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens are now offering free delivery of prescription medications, when you call in to get a prescription filled or refilled, you can ask that the FamilyWize discount be applied by providing the following information that is found on a FamilyWize card:

BIN: 610194

Card ID: FW100

Group ID: FW100

  • Free Tax Filing

    • If you have both a simple state and federal return, you can file your taxes online at for free. For other free tax filing options, read United Way’s recent blog post. (Note: The deadline for filing has been extended from April 15 to July 15.)
